Roughing Machine, 1930

Machine for roughing curling stones. Cast iron base supporting a horizontally mounted belt driven shaft. A half-shaped granite stone is mounted on the shaft and a fixed circular cutting tool cuts the stone to the desired profile while it rotates on the shaft.
