Old Burgh Farm at Craigneuk by Andrew Muir, date unknown

Andrew Muir was a policeman in Airdrie from the 1930s, serving in the Royal Marines during the Second World War. A keen amateur artist, Muir belonged to the Airdrie Sketching Club. He took photographs of Airdrie prior to the major changes of the 1970s and 1980s, using these as a basis for his watercolour paintings.
